A list of
various television programs I am either watching or have watched with interest.
Current Favorites
- Aqua Teen Hunger Force: bizarre animated series about a milkshake
(Master Shake), a rolling wad of meat (Meatwad), and a floating box of french
fries (Frylock). Drugs may have been involved in its creation.
- Bones: a show about an emotionally unexpressive but brilliant forensic anthropologist and the wise-ass FBI agent (played by David Boreanaz) who enlists her aid in solving various crimes
- CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Another show I picked up from my
wife.
- The Daily Show, "where more people get their news than probably should"
- Family Guy: Another bizarre Cartoon Network offering, set in Quahog,
Rhode Island.
- Futurama
- House, M.D.: starring Hugh Laurie from Blackadder.
- Life on Mars: a BBC cop drama about a police detective who wakes up in 1973, and has to figure out if he's a time traveller, or enmired in the delusional world of a coma.
- Lost
- Robot Chicken: Seth Green's bizarre production of stop-motion shorts
involving classic toys and action figures.
- Scrubs - hilarious hospital-themed comedy - features John C. McGinley, a favorite from "Stealing Harvard" and "Intensity"
- South Park
Hall of Fame
- A Bit of Fry and Laurie: Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie of Blackadder fame do arch, witty and gloriously absurd sketch comedy. Now available on DVD.
- Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.: A well-made Bruce Campbell series taking place at the turn of the century, looking towards "the coming thing."
- Blackadder -- "If I die, think only this of me... I'll be back to getcha!" (Edmund G. Blackadder the nth)
- Due South, a Mountie on the trail of his father's killers settles in Chicago as a cultural liasion, teaming up with a slick Chicago detective, bringing his wilderness tracking skills, sharp deductive abilities and all the knowledge from his grandparents' library.
- Invader Zim: demented Nickelodeon cartoon by Jhonen Vasquez , featuring a spirited but overzealous alien invader named Zim, his incompetent but lovable robot sidekick GIR, and their nemesis Dib, a paranoid conspiracy buff out to uncover this threat to the human race.
- Jack of All Trades, the last Bruce Campbell television vehicle
- Monty Python's Flying Circus
- Not Only... But Also, with Dudley Moore and Peter Graves
